We are thrilled to announce an emotionally powerful exhibit to open at the Arizona History Museum this week.
Douglas, Arizona Vietnam War Veterans Commemorative Project
Wall of Faces: A Grateful Nation Thanks and Honors You
The exhibit celebrates Douglas Vietnam War Veterans, their families, and those who served in support of the Armed Forces.
MANY of whom now live in TUCSON and PHOENIX areas.
It was created by the Honorable Judge Alma Vildosola, Don Jordan, Dick Keith, Hector Leon, and Ginny Jordan in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.
A Presidential Proclamation by President Obama asked "Federal, State, and local officials to honor our Vietnam Veterans, our fallen, our wounded, those unaccounted for, our former prisoners of war, their families, and all who served with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities."
The resulting exhibit was on display in Douglas, Arizona and now travels to our museum.
The Exhibit will OPEN officially with a VIP Invitation only event on
February 24 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
We have received over 200 RSVP’s, which is at capacity for guests in our auditorium.
YOU, the media, are invited to attend!
Please RSVP to Eric Gonzales ASAP by replying to this email or calling or texting my cell, 520-203-3378.
