TUCSON, AZ – February 21, 2017 – Nancy Melcher, BSN, MBA, has been named Chief Nursing Officer at Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital. In this role, she will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide leadership and mentorship to clinical staff throughout the hospital and will be responsible for strategic development, coordination and oversight of clinical processes and policies to ensure the continuation of high-quality patient care.
Nancy has held positions in nursing for 19 years, serving in similar roles in hospitals across the US for the last eight. Nancy most recently relocated from Roswell, Georgia where she served as Chief Nursing Officer for a Tenet owned hospital. She has championed many efforts throughout her career including clinical excellence initiatives, establishing patient experience committees, and leading organizations to receive Chest Pain Center Accreditation. After growing up in Kansas City, Nancy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Delaware and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business.
