About Us

Assistance League® of Tucson is a nonpolitical, nonsectarian, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit corporation that is managed and staffed by volunteers who are dedicated to working to improve the lives of those in need in the Tucson area. Our more than 330 members donate over 40,000 hours annually serving our community through our philanthropic programs. Based on the U.S. Department of Labor’s value of volunteer hours, that translates to a contribution of more than a million dollars during our most recent fiscal year.

Assistance League of Tucson’s programs are funded by sales from our thrift shop and by grants, gifts, and donations. All our revenues remain in the Tucson area and are used solely to support our local philanthropic endeavors. Through our programs, our member volunteers help those in need find better, more meaningful lives by addressing the physical and emotional needs of children and adults of all ages, regardless of race or creed.
