New Rotary Club with Environmental Focus Being Formed

A  new Rotary club is being formed in Tucson.  Its club programs and projects will focus on environmental issues.  The provisional name of the club is Rotary Club of Tucson Verde, and the target charter date is Earth Day, April 22, 2021.  We believe the new club will appeal to potential Charter Members who want to be informed and work on issues like climate change, conservation, and environmental sustainability.

Rotary International is a 115-year-old organization of active and retired professional and businessmen and women who want to serve their local and international communities.  We are 1.2 million members in 34,000 clubs.  Because Rotary is non-political and non-religious, we can have a positive impact in every corner of the world.

In addition to offering an opportunity to engage in service, Rotary creates an opportunity to build new friendships,  establish new contacts and business relationships, and promote the development of leadership and presentation skills.  It is also a lot of fun.
