Position Type Other Description: Brain Injury Resources Program Director

Duties: Programs and Services Management •Maintain current knowledge of the types of resources, services and supports needed by brain injury survivors, families/care partners, and professionals who serve them and the availability of these resources in the State of Arizona. •Stay up-to-date regarding the informational, educational, and resource needs of the target population; act as a resource to the Executive Director, Resource Facilitation Manager, and BIAAZ staff in this regard. •Act as the primary responsible person for understanding and managing the content of the agency's online information to consumers (website, resource directory, systems guide). Work with assigned staff to ensure timely and accurate updates of all information. •Understand and interpret the Americans with Disabilities Act as it pertains to the programs and services provided by the BIAAZ. •Manage the BIAAZ's response to consumers from other cultural backgrounds. •Identify informational/educational content needs and potential presenters for agency conferences. •Develop and implement ongoing customer-feedback processes to obtain input from the target population concerning the quality and scope of BIAAZ services. •As assigned, assist the Executive Director in planning conferences and outreach events. •As assigned, make public presentations about the BIAAZ's programs and services.

Experience Required: Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience •Master's Degree and at least one (1) year of experience OR Bachelor's Degree and at least two (2) years of experience working with persons with brain injury. •Preference will be given to candidates who have ALSO provided services, supports and/or education for families of brain injury survivors. •Staff supervision. •Management of direct service program(s) for persons with brain injury and/or other neuro-cognitive disorders. •Experience with human or social services quality assurance/quality control requirements and methods, including incident management, corrective action and prevention strategies. •Experience with client-related data collection, record-keeping, and report preparation. •Ability to manage a program budget and prepare routine budget reports. •Excellent problem solving skills. •Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and types of activities. •Flexibility in responding to shifting needs and priorities. •Excellent organization and follow-through. •Facility with routine computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and the like). •Ability to learn new software applications with appropriate training (training will be provided regarding the agency's proprietary software system).
