When it comes to building a resilient and self-reliant Arizona economy, one thing is clear―investing in local businesses and communities is vital for our economic resiliency. From where you shop to where you bank, you are a powerful player in that resiliency―and that starts with where your dollars are deposited. 

Every April, Local First celebrates Community Banking Month―a national campaign to promote the benefits of banking with community banks. Our own Move Your Money campaign helps connect small businesses and consumers alike to the right financial institution for them. It’s time to put your money where your home is.

About The Event 

This event is a MEGA-MIXER and takes the place of our standard business mixer for April. We’re returning to Hotel Congress―more specifically, the courtyard of Maynards Market―for drinks, music, socializing and the opportunity to connect in-person with several local credit unions. We know that networking can be hard work, so we’ll also be running a raffle to make connecting with the credit unions and their staff easier and more fun. Whether you’re a small business owner, consumer, or just interested in learning more about local access to capital―this event is for you. 

As always, if you’re new to Local First or interested in joining our Business Coalition, come for New Member Orientation at 5:30pm. This will be an opportunity to get your questions answered and learn more about the value of Local First membership. This event is free―all are welcome! 

About Our Host 

Maynards was opened in 2008 and operates as a “culinary collective.” The restaurant showcases four top chefs and the flavors they can bring to the table together. Maynards certainly lives up to Tucson’s “City of Gastronomy” designation and serves upscale comfort food with something for everyone while maintaining the highest quality ingredients.
