Message from the CEO: Post-Election Reflections and Our Path Forward 

As we reflect on the results of a challenging and contentious election season, we at the Tucson Metro Chamber remain committed to being an effective convener of our diverse membership and partners. Throughout this tense year, our goal has been clear: to advance our 'business-sense' vision for the Tucson Metro region—where businesses thrive, and our community prospers. Our candidate evaluation committee—comprised of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans—engaged with most candidates running for Pima County offices, Pima Community College Governing Board seats, and the Arizona Corporation Commission. Together, we discussed key issues that matter most to the business community. We congratulate the candidates who have emerged victorious, and we look forward to collaborating with them to advance a strong regional economy. In addition to the candidates, we focused on four key propositions on the ballot, all reflecting our mission to influence policies that benefit businesses, their workforce and create a prosperous community. While we are pleased to see the voters agree with us in passing Prop 312, keeping government accountable to protect businesses and neighborhoods, we also recognize that there is still work to be done. We respect the outcome of each election and value the democratic process, regardless of the results. Now, on the other side of this election, we know that our members and the community are processing the results with different feelings and perspectives. That time and space is important. When the dust settles and as we head towards 2025, you can count on the Chamber being a place where community members of all politics and persuasions can come together to connect, make change for economic vitality, and champion business growth.  We are honored to serve you and represent the interests of the Tucson business community. Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. Together, we will make the Tucson Metro region a place where businesses thrive, and our community prospers.
